Development of Indicators and Measuring the Health Impact of Nutrition-Sensitive Agricultural Research and Development

eSYS Development has been engaged by the Consultative Group on International Agricultural Research (CGIAR) to develop indicators and measure the impact of nutrition-sensitive agriculture research and development.
The work focuses on generating evidence of health and economic outcomes from biofortified crops, with case studies in zinc-biofortified rice and wheat, and iron-biofortified beans.
eSYS is designing a framework to assess dietary intake improvements, disease burden reduction, and value-for-money across different populations and geographies.
The project supports CGIAR’s goal to demonstrate the effectiveness of agricultural innovations in addressing micronutrient deficiencies and improving public health, while informing policy, investment, and scaling strategies
